🌿 The Story Behind the Artwork
Deep in the misty forests of Southland, where ferns unfurl and the earth smells of rain, a small kiwi has made its home inside an old, hollowed tree stump. Though shy and nocturnal, the kiwi is a quiet guardian, moving softly through the undergrowth and keeping watch over its secret world.

The stump, worn and weathered by time, offers shelter and a sense of safety, a tiny fortress for this enigmatic bird. This piece captures a fleeting moment of stillness, a kiwi pausing, alert yet calm, in its hidden sanctuary.
