🌿 The Story Behind the Artwork

Alpine Mist is inspired by hiking in Fiordland’s alpine terrain, where wind, cloud, and hardy native vegetation constantly reshape the landscape.

Drawn in fine black ink, the work captures the quiet strength of these environments: mist moving through valleys, and vegetation that survives in exposed, weather-driven conditions. It reflects my experience of these places as both raw and quietly still.
