Created for an exhibition in Waimumu near Gore, Still of the Night was inspired by the region’s prohibition-era history and stories of hidden moonshine distilling.
Drawing from historical references and museum artefacts, I imagined a secret still hidden within a glass bottle, a moonlit creek scene where barrels, a lone figure, and the glow of the moon reveal a world concealed inside the flask.
Created in detailed ink, this surreal artwork blends local history, storytelling, and imagination into a hidden moment from the past.
Size: A4 (210 × 297 mm / 8.3 × 11.7 in)
Printed on quality 300gsm satin paper.
Each print is individually signed and carefully packaged with backing board for protection.
