This graphite drawing explores the nurturing side of one of New Zealand’s most treasured native birds - the kiwi.
Inspired by the idea of an animal sheltered within a nest, I created my own imagined scene of a kiwi beside its egg, surrounded by layers of twigs, leaves, and natural textures. Rather than a literal depiction, this artwork captures the feeling of care, protection, and connection found within the natural world.
