Forest Boot V is part of my boot series, where each well-worn tramping boot becomes a vessel for the landscapes and stories gathered along the way.
Created for an exhibition in Tuatapere, this artwork was inspired by the history of the Hump Ridge Track and the legacy of logging that shaped the area long before it became a popular walking destination. Along the track, remnants of that past can still be found, from old railway lines to rusting boilers slowly being reclaimed by the forest.
Rather than recreating a particular place, I imagined these historic elements, blending memory, history, and landscape into a single scene. It is a tribute to a landscape that continues to carry the marks of both nature and those who came before us.

Printed on quality 300gsm satin paper, ready to fit a standard A4 frame.
Each print is individually signed by the artist and carefully packaged in a protective sleeve with backing board.
